June 1, 2010 Visited with Jeff and his son. Jeff sounds so much better and his looks are improving (LOL). Forgive me Jeff, I couldn't help myself. We shared some good laughter and went down memory lane... He is looking forward to hitting the waves again. This, however, will take a little bit longer. Posting pics on the images page.
May 17, 2010 Talked with Jeff yesterday. His voice sounded so much stronger. He is getting impatient with himself thinking that he should feel better. Pneumonia in itself takes months to heal - he also had chemo and radiation, which wipes out your strength. He enjoys sitting outside and listening to mother natures sounds. He also said he will try to post occassionally on the guest book page. See for yourself.
May 15, 2010 DaKine Diegos and Reef event was a blast... Guest included many pro-surfers - international and local - the movie was great and the stars signed autographs.
May 11, 2010 Jeff is interested in watching basket ball again... He must be feeling much better. - He is bird watching from the porch and finding joy in nature - No weight gain to report :(
May 6, 2010 Jeff is being released tomorrow. Hope things are on the upswing for him.
May 4, 2010 Jeff was admitted to the hospital again with respiratory issues. Please keep him in your prayers.
April 30, 2010 Talked with Jeff today and he is feeling much better than last week. I cannot imagine what it must feel like to be poisened by radiation and chemo and trying to tell yourself that this will help. His voice sounded strong and he is so thankful to everyone that so generously gave from their heart. He said he did not know how many friends he had until now. It speaks volumes of what kind of person he is to have so much support. Even people that do not know him gave of themselves.
I believe a small miracle happened here.
There are rumors that something else is coming down the pipeline at Da Kine Diegos. Details are not yet worked out but stay posted.... Coming soon |
